Annual reporting to the Commission –lessons learned to date for the Charity Sector in NI.

As a Charity Trustee are you aware of your legal responsibilities in relation to your Annual Monitoring returns?

Once registered, every charity is required to comply with its duties under annual reporting legislation, which includes the completion of an annual monitoring return along with the submission of the required documentation.

The Charity Commission NI has produced its first report, sharing the lessons learnt on the 324 Annual Monitoring Returns, which have been received in 2016. The themed networking event will provide you with an opportunity to hear about the key lessons learnt on the submission of Annual Monitoring Returns to date firsthand. 

The key issues that were highlighted in the report and that will be discussed at the event include:

  • Paying Charity Trustees
  • Ensuring that your annual submission filed is accurate and received on time
  • Providing the Charity Commission with all of the information they need
