The topics focus on the personal and professional services that any Chief Officer might need and you can select those which you would like to attend. We are all really excited about our fourth Members’ Day event which is to be held on Thursday 8 September from 1pm - 4:30pm at the Agape Centre on the Lisburn Road, and we would like to invite you to attend. The theme this year is, “What if nothing was impossible? Building you up to be the best leader you could possibly be!” and we are sure that the event will have something for everyone.

Members’ Day is all about members rather than their organisations and sometimes it’s the only chance people have to focus on sorting out their own affairs outside of work.

Property Solicitors Sean McGinley and Cathy Warnock will offer advice and answer your questions on issues including the sale/ purchase of property; leases – both domestic and commercial; landlord/ tenant queries and questions concerning business premises.
Cathy specialises in advising clients on managing their affairs including making a will, preparing an enduring power of attorney (EPOA) and other issues such as Trusts and property planning and will be available to provide information and advice on these matters.

He is also a member of the Patient and Client Board on which he is their Risk Champion and a member of the Audit and Governance Committee .
Hays Specialist Recruitment are pleased to be offering a CV Clinic for Co3 Members that are seeking advice on composing a cv, looking professional advice on an existing cv, or perhaps actively seeking a new role, and may require a tailored approach to take their cv to market.

“Interest rates could soon go to nothing (zero) – is it impossible to obtain a return and mitigate risk?” Focusing on investment returns we consider how risk management is key to the decision making process and boosting investor confidence.
Cunningham Coates provide investment management and financial planning services to a wide range of private clients, trusts, corporates and charities on both discretionary and non-discretionary basis.
Wayne Nickels joined Cunningham Coates in 2001, being appointed a Director in 2012 and Partner in 2013. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and was President of the NI Branch from 2013 - 2015. Wayne also holds a Masters in Finance (MSc) from Queens University of Belfast; a degree in Business Administration (Hons); level 6 diploma (degree equivalent) in Securities & Investment as well as a level 6 diploma in Leadership & Management.
This workshop will focus on your role as a leader in driving a high performance culture. At the end of the session you will understand your role as a leader, what the five vital ingredients are for driving high performance, how to use coaching to drive performance and understand the benefits for your organisation.
Barbara Owen is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered MCIPD) and holds a Masters in Human Resource Management (MA HRM) from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. She has over 20 years’ experience in working with chief executives and senior management teams to optimise personal and business performance.
Barry Phillips, CEO at Legal-Island, who spent his early career as a barrister suing employers for failing to comply with key legislation, shares his top five tips on how to fend off litigation in the area of equality and diversity.
About the Organisation: Legal-Island is a multi-award winning employment law training and information company working in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. They specialise in training HR professionals in employment law, and call on the services of more than 100 lawyers and HR experts to deliver large conferences and seminars, addressing key developments relevant to the world of work.
The class will begin with a 5 minute introduction, some breathing techniques, to centre / focus and simple seated stretches.* The class progresses at a gradual and easy pace into standing postures which aim to invigorate, improve balance, strength and focus. The class winds from here, drawing attention to more 'grounded' postures that focus on releasing tension in the hips, some restorative postures, closing the class with a few minutes of silent relaxation to soft music. The class will flow at a gentle pace and caters for absolute beginners with no experience, however the only fitness requirement is the ability to move from the floor to standing with relative ease.
Axis Yoga Belfast offers an innovative approach to introducing wellbeing to organisations through Yoga. Many companies are now realising the benefits Yoga can bring to their employees' motivation and performance by investing in yoga classes for their staff and reaping the rewards. With stress, anxiety and sickness on the rise, never has there been a more crucial time to incorporate movement into the workplace and school environment. AXIS Yoga currently works with organisations such as The Princes Trust, Byrne Looby, and Baker and MacKenzie holding early morning, lunchtime and early evening sessions for these corporate groups.

A new sensory team building experience. This workshop will give you a flavour of the social enterprise offering from RNIB which offers team building sessions of “The Dark Experience”. Blindfolding the participants allows them to experience what is it like to be blind and the challenges this can bring when doing everyday tasks.
The session will be facilitated by RNIB.

A Bodywork Approach to Dealing with Stress at Work
There is a wealth of information and tips about how to cope with stress at work. However, useful as these may be, recent advances in psychology and neuroscience suggest that a focus on internal body or somatic processes is the key to dealing well with stress. This approach encourages us to listen more to our internal messages and, in this way, come to not only understand what happens when we feel stressed, but also find out how to usefully access our internal resources when/if we feel excessively challenged by others.
In this workshop we will look at how we can manage our feelings in relationships at work and try to ensure we respond to what is happening in the here and now. Rather than reacting to something that might have happened years ago, we learn from that experience. In this way we can use body sensations and feelings as a resource to help us make the choices that work best for us.
