Everything you need to know to be a Trustee

Wednesday, October 21, 2020 - 10:30 to Thursday, October 22, 2020 - 15:30

Good Governance should include learning and development for all Trustees.  From new recruits and to long term servers.

Given the governance landscape has changed so much over the course of the past five years, we have designed a full day training day (also the option to be spilt across two evening workshops) to examine the key roles and responsibilities for Trustees.  The course has been designed for those considering taking up a Trustee role and to serve as a refresher course for those currently sitting on Boards.

Key elements covered in the training include:

•         Role of the Board

•         Role of trustees

•         Good board structures & systems

•         Giving strategic direction

•         Ensuring the quality of services

•         Managing resources

•         Managing risk

•         Being a good employer

Thanks to the Halifax Foundation we are able to offer this training programme for £25 per person.

This workshop will run over 2 days; Wednesday 21st October and Thursday 22nd October from 10.30am-3.30pm.
