Improving your Impact with Reduced Funding

Social Impact and impact measurement has been given a new urgency by government, funders, and social investors looking to get the most for their limited resources. 

More and more charities, social enterprises, or non-profit organisations, are using impact measurement to show how they have changed the lives of the people they support.

This half day event, kindly support by Fluent Technology, aims to encourage and support more organisations to measure their social impact, to measure to a high standard, and to learn from the findings. Learning from real life examples this workshop will show that good impact measurement can be achieved with the right system in place, and as an additional benefit organisations have been able to improve on their efficiency and effectiveness.

Participants will hear from

Building Change Trust (BCT) is the Northern Ireland partner for a United Kingdom wide project called Inspiring Impact. Nigel McKinney, BCT administrator, will share why BCT has been actively supporting better impact measurement in the Northern Ireland community and voluntary sector and will highlight plans for the next year.

Extern provides social care and support services throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Charlie Mack, CEO, will highlight why Impact Measurement is important to Externs operations; and Quality Assurance Manager Trevor Wright will share how Extern, working within economic challenges, continues to deliver a wide range of services across Ireland to children and young people, families in need of support and adults who have offended and are resettling in the community.

Northern Ireland Guardian Ad Litem Agency - A 'voice' for children who are subjects of public law and adoption proceedings before the courts in Northern Ireland. Corporate Services Director, Declan McAllister, will give insight into how NIGALA has managed to increase its case load at a time when the number of Guardians has been reduced.
