In this short information session, ‘Chair Based Exercise Specialist’ Peter from Love Fitness NI, will cover a range of stretching exercises designed for people who spend a lot of time seated and in poor postural positions during their working day and beyond.

For many people, office work involves extended periods of time at their desk. For some, it can be all day.

Having healthy employees is a definite plus for any organisation. Healthy employees are more energetic, are sick less often, and are able to recover from illness faster.

There are a lot of health risks for sedentary workers. These risks are very real and include:

  • heart attack
  • diabetes
  • stroke
  • obesity
  • back pain etc.

Add to that, the dangers of stress to the body and you have serious issues which can lead to long term illness and therefore long term absence from work.

In this short information session, ‘Chair Based Exercise Specialist’ Peter from Love Fitness NI, will cover a range of stretching exercises designed for people who spend a lot of time seated and in poor postural positions during their working day and beyond.

Peter will also demonstrate seated exercises which are designed to be performed in working clothes and will not leave you feeling uncomfortable or requiring a shower afterwards.

The format of the session will be a participative presentation where you will also have the opportunity to engage in Q&A time at the end.
