Senior Fellows Programme 2014-15
The Senior Fellows programme is a bespoke training course specifically designed for Third Sector leaders. It provides a comprehensive foundation in the range of skills, knowledge and behaviours required for the demanding role of Chief Executive. You will be empowered to lead your organisation confidently, powerfully and effectively in a fast-changing world.
Led by Irene Hewitt and Anne McMurray and supported by a series of masterclasses with leaders from a range of sectors, the course has been designed to provide Third Sector Chief Executives with high-level strategic expertise and awareness of their personal impact.
“The course really helped me to think about how I function as a CEO. There is a lot of guidance and support around developing self-reflection skills, increasing your self-awareness as a CEO and influencing and thinking systematically”.
Siobhan Doherty, Chief Executive, Aware Defeat Depression
Why should you participate?
The Senior Fellows Programme offers a high quality, practitioner-focused, learning development experience. The aim of the course is to build on participants’ existing leadership capacity and further develop this through a combination of individual coaching and support, micro skills development, masterclasses, peer consulting and experiential learning.
The programme began on 15 October 2014 with a brief opportunity to connect with tutors and fellow participants in a relaxed setting. Over coffee participants heard about the programme's purpose, content, approaches and expectations. They were also introduced to the 360 degree leadership appraisal, which combines feedback from others (peers, staff, chair, other stakeholders) with a self-assessment of their leadership style.
