Introducing CO3's New Board Members

Following CO3's virtual AGM on the 5 November 2020, we are delighted to welcome three new trustees to the CO3 Board. Our board oversee the work that the dedicated CO3 team carry out, they are also active in representing CO3 and contributing to our activities both in public and behind the scenes.

What do you hope to bring to the table? 

20+ year of 3rd sector involvement and commitment to positive change. 

 

What do you think are the key challenges and opportunities the sector will face in 2021? 

Sustainability, recovery from Covid and ensuring that the work of the sector continues to have an impact where needed.  

 

What is the best piece of leadership advice you have received you would like to share with another leader in the sector? 

Listen - always create space for listening to others - how we make sure that we maximise our impact. 

 

What would be your desert island disc music album and book?

Album: Stone Roses, Stone Roses

Book: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams

What do you hope to bring to the table? 

My extensive network of people and organisations in the SHSCT area

 

What do you think are the key challenges and opportunities the sector will face in 2021? 

How we as a sector continue to consolidate, digitise, and collaborate.

 

 

What is the best piece of leadership advice you have received you would like to share with another leader in the sector?

Be hungry, yet humble; Risk is the enemy of fulfilment of purpose. If I am unwilling to engage in the risk, I will never experience the joy of the purpose being fulfilled.

 

What would be your desert island disc music album and book?

Album: The Celtic Chillout Album;

Book: 'Humankind' by Rutger Bregman

What do you hope to bring to the table? 

Support, sounding board and reflection

 

What do you think are the key challenges and opportunities the sector will face in 2021?

The world has changed but the fundamental issues remain the same, learning to blend the relational with new technology will challenge us all.

 

 

What is the best piece of leadership advice you have received you would like to share with another leader in the sector?

The best conversations are the ones from which you emerge a slightly different person

 

What would be your desert island disc music album and book?

Album: Massive Attack, Blue Lines,

Book: Infinite Jest, David Foster Wallace (mainly because I have never finished it)
